This is a page that you, in your inquisitive brilliance, have perhaps already deduced the significance of. Yes, this is the page for those frequently asked questions i on occasion – and sometimes en masse – receive. In an attempt to answer said questions without repetitive emails, here are a few statements. Thanks for your interest!
Is your name really Lizzie McMizzie?
Nope. The names on my birth certificate are certainly not of the “izzie” nature, but i swear i am a real human being.
Do you take blog post requests or prompts?
Yes! Send them along! Please note, however, that while i would love to be a full-time bloggess, i am most egregiously also a full-time student with another job. Well, it’s not egregious really, but it definitely can put a hold on my blogging patterns from time to time. My apologies, therefore, if i don’t get to your request in a timely manner. I do really, really appreciate such requests though!
Can we be friends?
Absolutely!
Can i advertise on your blog?
YES. I have several clients already tucked amongst the posts, and i am eager to have more. Such advertisements are paying for my textbooks, after all. Send me an email and we’ll talk through the details.
Do you have any advice about living in Uganda?
Yes, i do, but i caution you with this: i only lived in Uganda for ten weeks, one of which was spent in South Sudan and much more of which was spent running around. I love Uganda, truly, and do think i have a thing or two to say, but i am by no means an expert. However, i will happily do my best in answering any questions you may have either here (on the blog, via comments) or via email.
Why do you lowercase your name and your i’s?
The i’s have a lengthy postal explanation here, and the name is in the same vein of thought. I’m already too much of a bigheaded self-loving machine, so i try to remind myself of the finite nature of my Self by keeping the name on a level below that of what i consider to be Cosmic importance. (I am aware of how pretentious that must sound. It’s an effort to be humble, but even that feels insincere. Sigh. I’m never going to get this right, am i?)
