uganda

as internet was finicky and slow (at best) in kotido, i essentially had to give up on the daily posting aspect of the thirty day photo challenge. i did not, however, quit taking the photos. below, then, you can see my life in stunning brevity from uganda:

myself, my desk, our trash, our shower

the abode i dwelled in, a solar cooker, something i never left the house without, my bookshelf

a place i loved where i lived, my current reads, my weekend, my feet

something i'm grateful for, my main mode of transport, how i did laundry, a celebration (south sudan's first independence day)

typical night, a gift from a friend carried with me to uganda, a meal, family away from the family

something i was grateful to have brought with me, my hands, roads walked daily, main mode of communication

a typical outfit, where we got our drinking water, where we got our food, a typical day

what i woke up to see every morning, my reality

p.s. should you like to see the photos from the same challenge, only in massachusetts, u.s.a. you can by clicking here.
